Fort Worth Transportation Authority, Trinity Express
Fort Worth, TX

The Fort Worth Transportation Agency (FWTA) completed constructing a 33 mile commuter rail project linking the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport to Fort Worth proper in May 2002.   TSG developed a new set of contract administration policies and procedures, including the preparation of a new Change Order manual and standard contract document front end for this project, as well as overseeing rolling stock rehabilitation and the fare collection procurement. TSG also prepared Board reports recommending modifications to the DBE Program and Change Order Procedures, which were all approved. 

City of Montebello, Montebello/Commerce Commuter Rail Station
Montebello, CA

The City of Montebello completed construction of a $10 million commuter and transit station to serve the commuter rail line from Riverside County to Los Angeles County in 1998.  TSG provided contract administration, change order and contract compliance services for this federally funded project. Upon completion of the project, TSG coordinated a Grand Opening public relations event for the City of Montebello. The Grand Opening provided an opportunity for community residents, and various political and business interests to become oriented with the services provided by the rail station.

City of Montebello, Montebello Bus Stop Improvement Project
Montebello, CA

The City of Montebello improved 175 bus stops including the installation of new bus stop shelters, concrete pavers, and related amenities.  The Solis Group performed various aspects of the project contract administration including development of the contract bid documents.  In addition, TSG performed other support services to the City including contract compliance, database development and support, and community relations.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Metro Red Line
Los Angeles, CA

As Senior Contract Administrators, TSG administered contracts for service, procurement
and construction in excess of $100 million to ensure conformance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, as well as managed the selection of the contractor, negotiated contract changes, analyzed claims, and negotiated and processed all settlements.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Pasadena Blue Line
Los Angeles, CA

TSG was on the Value Engineering team for this important light rail project that now unites Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley with Los Angeles and its existing light rail lines. TSG was responsible for contract labor compliance on this project and also assisted the Value Engineering team in preparing the Request for Qualifications for the design-build projects for the first design/build contract—the Chinatown Aerial.

Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority

In 1989, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority began work on the $800 million Green Line.  Of  primary concern for a transportation project, based on the honor system, was the implementation on a user friendly fare vending equipment.  For this light rail project, TSG supervised policy preparation and implementation, community liaison, contract administration, subcontract administration, MBE/WBE utilization, claims, change control and contract compliance administration.
