Port of Long Beach

The Port of Long Beach is modernizing and redeveloping Berths E24–E27 Slip 3 for the Wharf Redevelopment Stage 1 Project. This modernization project involves the redevelopment of two shipping terminals. The upgrades will improve efficiency and meet current environmental standards, utilizing new technologies and upgrading infrastructure. This project incorporates the reuse of construction-generated materials, LEED building standards, drought-resistant landscaping and lighting control. The project also incorporates renewable energy strategies.

The Solís Group is implementing the Port's pilot PLA on this project. In addition to monitoring and enforcement of contractor and sub-contractor compliance with the PLA terms, TSG's responsibilities include developing a Policies and Procedures manual for PLA implementation, training the Port's staff on PLA administration and labor compliance, and project management for community outreach to small and local businesses, disadvantaged worker and veterans.
