Project Management

Metropolitan Water District - CA
Ultra Low Flush Toilets - Single Events

TSG provided project management for the five county-wide Ultra Low Flush Toilet Program. This included all coordination with MWD and its member agencies for the marketing, staging, and logistics for distribution and recycling of all toilets. TSG directed all media relations and strategies. In addition, TSG handled all logistics and volunteer coordination with the sponsoring organizations, prepared the information databases and certificates. TSG developed tailored marketing strategies in each community and oversaw all English-Spanish translation of all marketing materials. The program included recycling.

Nashville East Line Commuter Rail

 

Highway Transportation Authority, Puerto Rico
Tren Urbano Project

TSG provided project controls support to Puerto Rico’s first 10.7-mile long double track heavy rail construction project. TSG project staff maintained the Primavera based project master schedule, including milestone status, project cost values and cost summary, schedule assessments, look aheads, and project summaries.

Contract Administration

Fort Worth Transportation Authority, Fort Worth, TX
Trinity Express

As a prime consultant, TSG was responsible for the development and implementation of a new contract administration process for The Fort Worth (Texas) Transportation Authority's (FWTA) $184-million project. TSG developed a new set of contract administration policies and procedures, including the preparation of a new Change Order manual and standard contract document front end. TSG worked closely with FWTA's legal counsel to resolve all legal and contractual issues and coordinated with FTA Region 6 General Counsel to resolve all regulatory issues. TSG also prepared Board reports recommending modifications to the DBE Program and Change Order Procedures. The Board of Directors approved all recommendations.

 

Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority (ACTA)
Carson, CA.

TSG provided Contract Compliance and Monitoring services for this $2.4 billion project.

 

City of Montebello, CA
Montebello/Commerce Commuter Rail Station

TSG provided contract administration, change order and contract compliance services for this federally funded project. Upon completion of the project, TSG coordinated a Grand Opening public relations event for the City of Montebello. The Grand Opening provided an opportunity for community residents, and various political and business interests, to become oriented with the services provided by the rail station.

Montebello Bus Stop Improvement Project

TSG provided support services for the improvement of the City’s 175 current bus stop locations. TSG performed various aspects of the project contract administration, including development of the contract bid documents.

 

Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Los Angeles, CA
Metro Red Line

As Senior Contract Administrators, TSG administered contracts for service, procurement and construction in excess of $100 million to ensure conformance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, as well as managed the selection of the contractor, negotiated contract changes, analyzed claims, and processed all settlements.

 

Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Los Angeles, CA
Pasadena Blue Line

TSG was on the Value Engineering team for this important light rail project that will unite Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley with Los Angeles and its existing light rail lines. TSG participated primarily as the contract administers, and participated in writing the Requests for Proposals for this $200 million dollar project.

Change Order Management

Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Los Angeles, CA

TSG provided change order management for MTA’s Metro Red Line, Metro Blue Line, and Metro Green Line.

 

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), San Francisco, CA
Rehabilitation of A & B rail vehicles.

TSG prepared a Change Order manual for this $330 million contract to rehab the A & B rail cars. As an FTA funded project, the Change Order manual required compliance with federal guidelines.

Procurement

San Francisco Public Transportation Department, MUNI
As-Needed Vehicle Fleet Engineering Services

TSG provides engineering services and is primarily responsible for procurement support for new MUNI vehicles and retrofits of existing vehicles, including specifications, evaluation of bids, change order estimating, negotiation, and acquiring new maintenance equipment.

 

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), San Francisco, CA
Engineering Services for District Projects

TSG provided engineering and procurement activities for the BART Systemwide Renovation Program. TSG was tasked with the preparation of BART’s contract general and special provisions for all renovation work, which entailed working with engineering, procurement, legal and accounting staff to develop special terms and conditions, bid document development, project controls and change order administration for the various contracts.

Document Control

Los Angeles World Airports, Ontario Airport, Ontario, CA
Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, Castaic Power Plant, Castaic, CA

TSG is currently responsible for the document control and project configuration control functions related to change orders, contract documents, plans, specifications and correspondence for the Ontario Airport and Castaic Power Plant construction projects. TSG ensures that all contract documents in the field office contain the latest information, including all revisions and pending change orders or change notices. Additionally TSG maintains all project correspondence, logs, monitored assignment of correspondence serial numbers and the general maintenance of project files.
