Program Benchmarking - Business Outreach Program

TSG provided services related to a review of the MWD Business Outreach Program, which seeks to ensure that minority and women-owned firms have access to MWD contracting and purchasing opportunities. The approach included an independent review of the Business Outreach Program to determine what should be done to open procurement opportunities for minority and women-owned firms, while recognizing the legal requirements that affect this program. TSG specifically performed a review of the MWD construction and engineering procurement specifications language and other relevant data, including a review of the MWD vendor database, related to the Business Outreach Program function. Additionally, TSG evaluated program requirement language.

County USC Medical Center Replacement Project

TSG was responsible for procurement and construction opportunities development, and the coordination of all Minority and Women owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) outreach for this $1.2 billion hospital expansion project. TSG also implemented a Local Hiring Program to train and employ local area residents in construction related positions under a county-imposed mandate.
